Danny has worked in the protein business since 1965. Early in his career, he held positions including Retail Buying, Merchandise Operations and Vice President of Perishable Operations. He began working for Showell Farms in 1985 where he became the Director of Sales and Marketing, South East Region and National Accounts Salesman after the Perdue acquisition.

In 1996, Danny, along with his wife, Betty, founded B&D Consultants. Their vision was to offer unparalleled service to the customer through partnership with the vendors. Danny's longstanding experience and expertise has been the driving force in the success of the company forming strong relationships throughout the industry.

Don Click, Director of New Business Development

V.P. Operations and Business Development

Don grew up on a cattle farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia near the small community of Montezuma. He attended Penn State University/ York and the University of Tennessee/Knoxville, completing undergraduate degrees in business and science at the University of Tennessee. Beginning his career in the protein industry in 1985, he worked at Holly Farms Poultry as the Mid Western Sales Representative until the company's sale. Don was employed with Danny Adams at Showell Farms working for nine years with retail/foodservice customers purchasing fresh poultry. Following the acquisition of Showell Farms by Perdue, he worked at Fieldale Farms managing sales of the further processing division. Don joined B & D Consultants in 2007 as the Director of New Business Development.

Paul Calvacca, Quality Assurance Specialist

Quality Assurance Specialist

Paul's educational experiences include classes in Micro, and Developing and Implementing HACCP presented by FSNS in Green Bay, Wisconsin in 2007. He has over 35 years experience in the Food Industry. His past work experience includes his employment at Formico Food Company for 15 years and Armour Food Company for four years in management and sales to retail and distributor accounts. Paul's association with Danny Adams began at Showell Farms (Cookin' Good), and subsequently Perdue, after their take over, where he worked for a total of 13 years in sales.  In 2009, he received certification from AIB International in Chicago, IL for “Principles of Inspecting and Auditing Food Plants”.

Paul joined B & D Consultants in 2004 focusing on Quality Assurance to foodservice and retail accounts. He is an expert in quality assurance for fresh, frozen and further processed poultry and seafood products. Weekly, he performs plant reviews and audits worldwide.

Nelson Ospina, Quality Assurance Specialist

Nelson Ospina
Quality Assurance Specialist

Nelson graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors of Science in October of 2002. His education experience includes Biology and Chemistry laboratory classes. In addition, he is certified by Cornell University to Develop and implement Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Plans.

Nelson grew up in the food industry where his grandfather founded and operated a restaurant franchise.  In 2000, he began focusing on quality assurance of fresh and frozen seafood for foodservice and retail accounts. Nelson joined B&D Consultants in 2009, He performs quality assurance audits on a daily basis in the South Florida area.
